Media accreditations for the sixth session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Aarhus Convention, third session of the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol on PRTRs, their joint High-level Segment and associated preparatory meetings are now officially open.
Media accreditation for upcoming events is reserved for members of the press - print, photo, radio, TV, film, news agencies, and online media who represent a bona fide media organization [formally registered as a media organization in a country recognized by the United Nations General Assembly].
1. The registration form (download here in doc format);
2. A letter of assignment (PDF format) on official letterhead of a media organization, signed by the publisher, editor-in-chief or news director indicating the name and duration of assignment of the journalist(s) who will cover the upcoming meetings;.
3. A copy of their press card or other proof of their press status;.
4. A copy of an identification document (i.e. passport or national identification with photo).
Confirmation of your accreditation will be sent to the e-mail provided. Incomplete requests will not be processed.
Double accreditation is not allowed (e.g. both as a journalist and as a delegate).
How to pick up your media accreditation
Once you receive an e-mail confirming that your request for accreditation has been approved, you can obtain your media press badge at the registration desks next to the Hall of Dynasties (Salle I; main meeting room) of the meeting venue will be open from 7.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, 11 September 2017, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the remaining days of the meetings. All media personnel are advised to arrive early to allow sufficient time for screening. Last-minute arrivals may encounter delays.
When picking up your media press badge, you will be asked to present a valid passport or national identification with photo from a State recognized by the United Nations General Assembly.
Access to the meeting venue
The meeting venue is the Splendid Conference and SPA Resort, Budva (Becici), Montenegro.
By receiving the accreditation, media can follow every day of the events and can use media room facilities.
